Global Classroom Roots
Harmony Alternative offers two pathways for younger learners, each designed around nature, culture, creativity, and play. Children can join for a single term or multiple terms, allowing families flexibility while still experiencing the depth of the programme.
South America Pathway
Nature, Story, and Discovery in the Andes and Southern Lakes
The South America pathway invites young children into a rich journey of nature, culture, and imagination as we explore three remarkable regions: Pisac in Peru’s Sacred Valley, San Martín de los Andes in Argentina, and Pucón in southern Chile.
Each place offers a new landscape for children to discover — mountain valleys filled with ancient terraces, forest trails and clear lakes in Patagonia, and the dramatic volcanoes and rivers of Chile’s lake district. These environments become the backdrop for a gentle learning experience designed around curiosity, creativity, and connection to the natural world.
Our programme is inspired by the way young children learn best: through play, sensory exploration, storytelling, and meaningful experiences with the world around them. Rather than traditional lessons, children explore through hands-on activities that encourage wonder and discovery.
Throughout the journey, we explore the landscapes and cultures of the Andes together — tasting new foods, meeting local makers, exploring forests and rivers, and hearing stories from the region’s rich traditions.
