Global Classroom Roots
Global Classroom Roots is the early-years pathway of Harmony Alternative — a warm, sensory-rich learning experience for children aged 4–9. Designed for travelling families who value mindfulness, culture, nature connection, and creative exploration, Roots offers a nurturing beginning to the Global Classroom journey. Our inaugural cohort launches in Hoi An, Vietnam, with a full-year programme expanding across multiple locations in 2027.

What Global Classroom Roots Offers
Our first Global Classroom Roots cohort will run from April 6 to May 22, 2026, in the beautiful coastal region of Hoi An. This pilot programme will be led by Montessori educator, storyteller, and cultural guide Kate Landon, whose background in anthropology, cookery, folklore, and botany brings a uniquely holistic flavour to early childhood learning. In Hoi An, children will experience a gentle, imaginative curriculum rooted in the local landscape — absorbing Vietnam through story, nature, food, and community. Designed to honour the way young children learn, Roots blends sensory exploration with early inquiry, creativity, and connection to place, creating a meaningful foundation before children grow into the wider Global Classroom model.
The fee for the Hoi An 2026 cohort is USD 2,500. A 10% sibling discount applies for families with an older child enrolled in the 10–16 programme (USD 2,250), and an Early Bird rate of 15% off is available before January 1, 2026 (USD 2,083).

How Roots Connects to the Global Classroom
Beginning next year, Global Classroom Roots will evolve into a full-year offering running alongside our older 10–16 cohort across multiple locations. Each Roots cohort will follow the same nature-centered, culturally grounded learning philosophy, providing young children with a consistent and nurturing experience as their families travel. Through story, movement, seasonal rhythms, creative expression, and meaningful cultural engagement, Roots will become the foundational stage of the Global Classroom continuum, supporting children to grow with confidence, curiosity, and a deep sense of belonging wherever they are in the world.
