The Hybrid Learning Pathway
Deeper subject learning, connected to real-world experience.
For learners who want greater academic depth alongside the Global Classroom, our optional Hybrid Learning Pathway offers weekly live online sessions in Mathematics, Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS), and English Language & Literature, led by experienced educators.
Rather than adding disconnected online lessons, these sessions are designed around the themes and concepts learners are exploring with us. What is introduced online can then be encountered, questioned, and applied through projects, field experiences, and the world around them.
If the focus is geometry, for example, learners might deepen their mathematical understanding online before exploring symmetry, angles, scale, and proportion through local architecture, traditional patterns, art, or natural structures.
Many homeschooled and online learners find themselves participating in rich, experiential learning during the day, only to return home to unrelated online lessons. It can feel like doing school, and then doing school again.
Our hybrid approach connects the two. Online learning supports the week's real-world experiences, and those experiences give learners meaningful opportunities to put knowledge into practice.

Every Global Classroom learner already engages with academic concepts through our thematic projects, fieldwork, inquiry, and differentiated learning. Those who don't opt into the online sessions are not missing out.
The Hybrid Learning Pathway simply offers an additional opportunity for learners who want to go deeper into specific subjects through more focused, specialist-led study.
Sessions are pitched broadly at IB MYP level, so we generally recommend the pathway for learners aged 12 and above.
