HACC

The Harmony Alternative Community Circle (HACC) exists because we don’t believe in running a programme where everything flows through us. Instead, we build a community that can hold itself.

The Harmony Alternative Community Circle is a small group of parent representatives who act as a bridge between families and the project; not as decision-makers, but as a sounding board, a filter, and a steady point of communication.

Rather than constant messages, side conversations, or things getting lost in the noise, the HACC creates a clearer rhythm: concerns come in, conversations happen properly, and what needs to be shared comes back out with context.

It’s also about responsibility. If something isn’t working, we talk about it.  If something needs addressing, we address it. And once it’s been discussed, we move forward.

This isn’t a complaints forum, and it’s not about control. It’s about creating a community that is more self-aware, more accountable, and ultimately more sustainable.

Because the strength of this project isn’t just what we deliver, it’s how the community shows up within it.

Built on Shared Responsibility

The HACC is reset each term to allow for fresh perspectives and balanced representation.

It meets regularly as a structured touchpoint — keeping communication clear, intentional, and grounded.

While the group offers input and support, responsibility for the programme remains with Harmony Alternative.

Participation is voluntary and based on alignment, requiring confidentiality, constructive communication, and a shared commitment to the health of the community.
